iSentry ltd have announced the launch of their iSentry Digital Witness product to coincide with their presence at The Clinical Information Systems and Electronic Records and eHealth 2005 Exhibition Conference in London next month.

The conference had given a forum to iSentry to seminar with their long standing clients how they were already assisting the care industry with their compliance software.

Deborah Moore of Spectrum, the Devon and Cornwall Autistic Community Trust, will be giving a conference session along with Gareth Evans, Chief Operating Officer for iSentry Ltd, called "Easing our compliance burden through the use of IT”

The conference session will be concentrating on the use of the iSentry Digital Profile product, a robust and trusted means of collecting, authenticating and securing identity information on staff, clients and service users, but with their swift uptake of the iSentry Digital Witness Product as well, Spectrum will also be discussing the effectiveness of Digital Witness within their own environment.

The iSentry Digital Witness allows care workers to enter care event records as they happen. Events are monitored by the system critical events triggering automatic notification by email or SMS.

This is mandated by the National Care Standards regulations and Health and Safety legislation.

Most organisations are tied to paper and phone based systems. iSentry Digital Witness records the events using care-standards compliant templates.

As with all iSentry products, content is securely encrypted, only staff with the relevant roles and responsibilities can view incidents and events.

The care worker has the option of digitally signing the form immediately or saving it for signing later. The forms have associated warning levels. Where the warning level is low, notifications occur once the care worker has signed off the event, but where high, the alerts are triggered automatically.

Alerts are delivered automatically via email and two-way SMS to predefined managers and on-call staff.

The staff member reacting responds to the email or SMS and this is picked up by the system. Other on-call staff are 'stood down' and the event or incident is assigned.

iSentry Digital Witness can be linked into their Digital Profile product to ensure absolute compliance with regulations.

iSentry Digital Witness can be tailored to any organisations specific needs. Forms can be customised to their own reporting requirements and, web-based, the product can tie into almost any authorisation environment.
